Spatial and temporal pattern of coral reef fish communities
I am interested in how spatial and temporal patterning may impact the structure and function of coral reef fish communities. Within this broader framework, I apply the tenets of macroecology and quantitative ecology to quantify the relationship between environmental variables and species and functions distributions. More specifically, I combine descriptive and quantitative approaches to understand how environmental drivers underlies community assembly.
Properties of indices
I investigate theoretical questions regarding the properties and performance of diversity indices. I considere and analyse methods and indices used to measure diversity in order to help users choose indices according to their sensitivity to the properties of datasets.
Autonomous video sampling
With the advent of digital technologies, video recording has become an appropriate tool for fish surveys. I use autonomous video systems to investigates temporal variations and behaviour of fish communities.
